Aftercare recommendations
What to do after the most common treatments, and the brochures you receive at the clinic.
The recommendations below are general and don't replace your doctor's instructions. For your specific case, follow the instructions you received after the procedure.
After each treatment
After an extraction
Avoid vigorous rinsing and hot or hard food for the first few hours. If bleeding persists or pain is severe, call the clinic.
About extractions →After an implant
Ice, the prescription you received, hygiene resumed after 24 hours, no smoking for at least 5 days. Stitches usually come out after 7–10 days.

Follow the instructions you received after the procedure. Call the clinic if there is significant swelling, fever or pain that doesn’t ease.
About surgery →After a root canal treatment
Slight sensitivity in the first few days is normal. If the pain gets worse or swelling appears, call your doctor.
About root canal treatment →After a professional cleaning
Temporary sensitivity to cold or heat is possible. Brush correctly and keep to the check-ups in your maintenance programme.

The first 2–3 days are the hardest. Soft food, protective wax, nothing hard or sticky.
