# All-on-4 and All-on-6: Fixed teeth in 24 hours

A fixed restoration on 4 or 6 implants for a whole arch. We aim to fit the temporary teeth within 24 hours of the surgery, if the implants are stable enough.

All-on-4 and All-on-6 replace all the teeth of one arch with a fixed restoration held by 4 or 6 implants. It doesn’t come out like a removable denture. Because our dental lab is inside the clinic, we aim to fit the temporary teeth within 24 hours of the surgery.

## All-on-4 or All-on-6?

It all starts with a CT scan. The doctor reads it and decides whether you are a candidate for All-on-4 or All-on-6. We also tell you then that we aim to load the implants within 24 hours, if their primary stability allows it: how firmly they hold in the bone right after they are placed.

## Before the surgery

-   A full set of blood tests.
-   A cardiovascular check-up.
-   If the surgery is done under sedation, with an anaesthetist (ATI doctor), for some time before it you don’t eat or drink water, as the anaesthetist advises.

## The day of the surgery

1.  We digitally scan the initial situation.
2.  We extract the teeth that need to come out.
3.  We place the implants. If a [bone graft](https://www.officedent.ro/en/treatments/dental-implants/bone-addition) is needed, we do it in the same session.
4.  If the implants are stable, we take a digital impression of their position and send it to our in-house lab.

## Temporary teeth the next day

In the lab, the temporary restoration is designed digitally and then milled from PMMA. Usually the surgery is on a Thursday, and we fit the temporary restoration on Friday afternoon.

## Until the final restoration

-   After 3 months we remake the temporary restoration: during these months the soft tissue (the gum) heals.
-   The final restoration is made at least 3 more months after the second temporary one. It has a titanium bar and zirconia teeth.
