# First visit

Your first visit is when we discuss why you came in, assess your oral health, and decide which investigations or steps may be needed. The doctor explains the options relevant to your case and answers your questions.

## How the first visit goes

    What to bring
    
    If you have them, relevant medical investigations or documents (recent X-rays, medical letters). If you have none, that’s fine: the doctor can recommend investigations on the spot.

    The forms
    
    Before the consultation you fill in a few forms, with your details and information about your health. So it’s best to arrive a few minutes early.

    It takes about an hour. The doctor talks with you about why you came and your medical history, then examines your mouth.
